Product Reviews: Centrifugal Dryers

Centrifugal Dryers are basically a spin dryer. They are typically used when parts are being processed in bulk. The parts may be placed into an appropriate size basket that then is inserted into the dryer. The dryer is then closed, turned on and spins the basket at a very high speed to force any liquid, oil, etc. to leave the part. Along with the spinning action drying the parts, an optional heater can be installed to offer adequate time in drying the samples.

Baskets Steel, Stainless Steel, Polypropylene Heavy Duty Baskets Mild and Stainless Steel baskets provide heavy duty service for tough applications. The solid bottom design of the 12" x 12" and 18" x 18" baskets makes load handling simple and efficient. Our standard perforation size of 3/32" permits efficient draining. Mild steel baskets are 12 gauge; stainless steel baskets are 16 gauge material.

Product Review: Resin Treated Felt Gaskets

Custom resin treated felt circles and pads are cut to specified sizes and shapes and are used as gaskets and in a variety of filters. 

Resin treating the felt allows strengthens it, as well as adjusts the porosity for each individual filtration application.  This makes the felt impervious to the gas, oil, air or chemical being filtered.  Resin treated filters can act as gaskets used under pleated filters.

Dished felt piece can accommodate different depths, felt can be made to a specific shape shape.

Punch presses and dies create the perfect part.  A few applications for resin treated felt gaskets include, gaskets for refrigeration and air conditioning.

Product Review: Poly Products Corro-Fan™

Poly Products has introduced a new Poly Products Corro-Fan™.  This is a great Tube Axial Fan for any application where corrosive air needs to be moved.

The Poly Products Corro-Fan™  is coated with a Robust Halar^® Coating (ethylene chlorotrifluoroethylene).  The Halar^® Coating is extremely resistant to a wide range of chemicals and temperatures from below zero up to 200°F,

The Heavy Duty bearing assembly is housed in a shelter sealed by a liquid Viton Caulk.  This isolates the bearings for the harsh air-stream.  An optional positive air purge is available to push clean safe air into the bearing housing, to further protect the bearings.
